Core essential learning

All Cumberland Council employees are required to undertake eight core essential learning modules. These topics are essential for all due to either being a legal requirement for the organisation or to support our Council Plan.

Cumberland Council’s New Learning Management System (LMS) called “iLearn”

The new LMS system is integrated within Microsoft 365. This initiative represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing innovative and effective learning and development opportunities for our employees.

What is the ‘iLearn’?

'iLearn' is our new learning management system (LMS) and is designed to provide you with a range of eLearning courses, training events, developmental tools and techniques. Some of these will assist in supporting face to face and virtual training events and give you instant access to a range of learning opportunities.

You can also view all our training events and book a place on an event yourself directly.

Development of 'iLearn' LMS

'iLearn' was launched on the 1st July as our new Learning Management System (LMS).

The development of the new LMS is an ongoing working progress. So please be patient as we continue to build the LMS. Over the next few months we will be adding past training records to iLearn.

We will be onboarding all Council employees over the next few weeks.

Step 1: How to Access iLearn LMS

Please click on the iLearn link to access the new site.
Once you have clicked the Mandatory core essentials link you MAY be asked to verify your identity, using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
