Organisational Development and Training team

Supporting services within the council to embed the values, vision and Target Operating Model to create a positive working environment for all.

What the team is responsible for:

The training team

Work closely with all directorates to develop their training plans and provide support and advice for all training and development requirements and are responsible for:

  • training needs analysis
  • core essential training for specific roles and responsibilities
  • co-ordination and delivery of training
  • commissioning of training through our learning and skills framework
  • digital skills training and support
  • health and safety training
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training

Learning and Development System team

Support all training and development activities for the council and our partner organisations and are responsible for:

  • being the central point of contact for all learning and development related enquiries
  • managing the central budget for mandatory, legal and compliance training
  • managing the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • promoting and providing online bookings for training events for all employees and partners
  • recording, evaluating and providing training related data for directorates and services, and KPI’s
