Process for managers when an employee is leaving or moving jobs

  1. Complete a Leaving or Moving Jobs ticket

    You must complete the Leaving and Moving Jobs ticket as soon as the employee hands in their notice.

  2. Calculate the employee's annual leave

    Use our annual leave calculator to calculate any outstanding days and entitlements.

  3. Leavers retention form and exit surveys

    It is important that you retain information from the employee before they leave the organisation.

  4. Hold a face-to-face exit interview

    Managers should hold a face to face exit interview with the employee. At this meeting the manager should cover the points set out in the exit interview procedure.

  5. Collect all of the employee's equipment

    Collect any Cumberland Council property from the employee on or before their last working day.
