Service Planning
Information about Service Planning and Equalities.
Service Planning is an important part of the Council’s planning to deliver the priorities set out in the Council Plan and major strategies and plans, delivery of our statutory requirements, and implementation of the Council’s Operating Model and our Values.
Each Service Plan will set out those objectives, the activities that will be carried to deliver against those objectives, and how those things will be delivered. They will set out how we will use our resources to deliver the objectives, and how we will manage related performance and risk.
Each Assistant Director is required to ensure that a single plan or plans is in place covering all their areas of responsibility.
Each Service Plan will be signed off by the relevant Director by 1 March 2025.
All service plans will be made available on the Council’s intranet in March 2025.
Guidance for Service Planning in Cumberland Council is available.
The Service Plan template is also available.
If you have any queries about service planning or need any further support or information please contact Clare Killeen in the Strategy and Policy Team at clare.killeen@cumberland.gov.uk.
Equalities and Combined Impact Assessment
The council has adopted a Combined Impact Assessment to ensure that important issues are addressed in a consistent manner. The Combined Impact Assessment (CIA) includes the equalities objectives and takes into account the Equalities Act alongside other council priorities. If you would like any advice in how to approach the CIA, please contact any member of the Policy Team.
