Managing teams

We have provided some key 'need to know' information for line managers and supervisors to ensure a positive, welcoming and supportive induction for you and your teams into Cumberland Council.

Manager checklist

We have also developed a simple Managers Induction Checklist for you to use to act as a support tool to assist you in leading yourself and your teams through the changes we’re making as we launch our new council.  The checklist will help prompt you about the things you need to be doing and sharing with your team.

Digital support

We have a Digital Support Sharepoint page which allows you to upskill your digital knowledge in your own time. Access tutorial videos and guidance documents to save and watch when needed.

Core essential learning

All employees are required to complete the Core Essential eLearning packages in MyLearning.

For those that do not have easy access to ICT, there is a suite of manager toolkits that have been designed to support managers in delivering the Core Essentials to your non-ICT employees. These can be found in the 'Core Essentials Managers Toolkit for non-ICT users' category in My Learning.

Employee induction pack

You can also download the Employee Induction Pack containing the information on this site.

A fully accessible and editable version of the Employee Induction Pack is available for anyone who needs to amend the document to suit their needs.  Please contact LearningandDevelopment@cumberland.gov.uk to request your copy.

Learning and development needs

Work will take place to produce a Training and Development process with guidance on how to access or request Training and Development, in the meantime any requests should be sent to: LearningandDevelopment@cumberland.gov.uk
