Overlapping grievance and disciplinary cases
Raised grievances during a disciplinary process.
If a grievance is raised during a disciplinary procedure, including a claim of harassment, it will be referred to a senior officer to decide whether it should be considered separately or as part of the disciplinary process.
In schools, this will be the headteacher or Chair of Governors.
Where the grievance relates to the disciplinary case, it will be investigated as part of the disciplinary process and will not suspend the disciplinary procedure.
