Caroline Patterson's story

I recently used one of my volunteering days to undertake my role as Deputy Lead for the Association for Project Management (APM) North West Network, helping to organise and deliver a professional development event for project management practitioners and those interested in the profession. In addition to this I have delivered a talk on project management and facilitated discussions with attendees from a range of backgrounds and experience levels.

I find volunteering with the APM incredibly rewarding. It provides an opportunity to give something back to the profession, support the development of future project professionals, and connect with people who are passionate about delivering positive outcomes through projects. The company's volunteering scheme has enabled me to contribute to a professional body that benefits individuals, organisations and communities across the region, while continuing to develop skills that I bring back into my day-to-day role.
