Paul Reardon's story

We run an annual Winter training course in Scotland to best utilise the conditions to practice team rescue and personal mountaineering skills in winter environments. This experience allows us to continue to serve the local community and visitors to Cumbria and the Lake District when we get snowy conditions.

I used the two days paid volunteering leave to cover the Teams Winter training course in Scotland – previously I have had to utilise annual or flexi leave to be able to do this so this was a huge benefit to me which means I can offer more to the community in which I live and work. Thank you!
