Advertising your vacancy

The Resourcing Team will process the vacancy so it is advertised on the appropriate authority job site.

The Resourcing Team will process the vacancy so it is advertised on the council’s job site.

Once your role is given SLT authority to recruit, your resourcing partner will be in touch. To advertise your role, they will need:

  • completed Vacancy Authorisation Form (HR01)
  • published post spec from Job Families Sharepoint site
  • draft advert wording

During the recruitment freeze, your resourcing partner will raise your request to recruit on your behalf and the Recruitment Administration team will pick this up and get your job live on the council’s job site.

Once your request is submitted you will be given a reference number. You can access the portal at any time to view the progress of your request.

Once your role is live on the council’s jobs site, applicants will be able to view it and apply for it.

Any requests raised to advertise roles that do not have a completed Vacancy Authorisation Form (HR01) or post spec published on the Job Families site will be automatically closed. Where requests do not contain draft job advert wording, the Resourcing Team will pick this up and produce the job advert to enable the job to be advertised.
